This wee was simple and strait to the point I received the models and textures from my 3d modeler and I have been slowly placing them into unity, I have been running into texture issues which cause my materials to not be placed on the object correctly. I fixed this problem by making the model a editable poly in 3ds Max. Other than that everything has been smooth and I do not have the unity file to show the scene but I do have the image of the textures and models I will be using.

This week was very busy for me, I received the models from my modeler that I could now place in my scene. I started by bringing everything from our shared drive on to my computer. I then started applying the textures to the different objects and have been placing them in our unity scene. I have a few more models to incorporate and I also need to finished making the sprites for the characters.
This week I quite literally sat next to my co-programmer and tried to help with the program that we re having issues with. The main issue we had was that the arrows would spawn in a completely different area that we wanted to, but we were able to fix that issue in the first two days. The issue that we are still having problems with are the object destroying on impact when out projectile hits the enemy, I honestly have no idea how to fix this problem and its hard working on program that I have no idea of the process that was taken to make it.
This week as a programmer my job constantly changed throughout the week, I started by gathering all of the sounds needed for our boss for the final level and I collected quite a few. I then spent half of the week trying to help my other programmer with his script that was having complications. I couldn't really help much even after I went home to look and try the script, I just couldn't find the problem. But I did end up implementing our health bar script into our white boxing unity file for testing, and it worked quite well.
This week I had a simple task due to me missing Monday, I initially had nothing to do this week but my team lead found something that can be completed. The assignment I had was simply finding some sound effects that goes along with the different interactions in the game. The image below is the list of sounds I have gathered for our game. This task was simple and to the point and the hardest thing that I had trouble finding was the clicking of the boots on metal. Finding these sound helps my team a lot and gets us closer to a finished game. This week was very uneventful, I actually didn't really have anything to complete for the team for the first two and a half days. This changed when I was assigned to just help out my 2D designer for a day, and that was to take the images we used for our characters and make sure they have different versions of the image so we can use it to give the character a sense of animation, this is shown in the first image below. We are honestly waiting on our 3d modeler to complete his part for us to continue forward. That being said I started working with my other programmer to help fix an issue we had with hour script translating to our game.
This past week I have been solely working on white boxing and creating the space that is needed in order for my team to practice scripts for our game. I had trouble with finding out which engine to use but i ended up being able to use the 2D version. Other than that I have had success in property white boxing. This upcoming week I can hopefully try to update my script so it properly works with our characters and models.I have been creating the enemy attack script, this relates to my team game by giving them a way for our Ai to properly interact with our player. Some of the problems that I have run into are the script not working on regular objects in the scene, I also didn't really fix it honestly. I also have no great accomplishments. I barely made it through the week, it's not going well. My blueprint is hopefully to get somewhere with white boxing.
In class we have still been working in unity and creating games, I have decided to create this parkour type game, and I created it in unity. I didn't use a bunch of different techniques and the images below just basically show my level and the jist of what it will look like. Summary-I created a level in unity
-there is a chance for improvement Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of changes and new rules and procedures set in place. The first is the fact that my class is now operating in a team based curriculum. In which each row of computers is their own individual row that has to come up and develop a game using the different tools and recourses that we have been taught over the past four years. This is relevant because my task is to be the programmer for my team, and there are two of us. Since this is basically our preproduction my only task was to get back in touch with the Unity game engine and learn Unity. I went through a 15 hour LinkedIn course that had many different topics and walkthroughs on how to manage and create projects in the Unity game engine. I would like to briefly talk about how I feel about the pathway, first off I like how clear and detailed the tutorials and walkthroughs where that they provided for us. It basically kept me engaged and actually interested instead of getting my brain fried. I generally don't have anything I dislike other than the fact that the conclusions for the topics that I spend hours and hours on is so short. This pathway also helped me better my learning for Unity by giving me the chance to actually get a decent grasp on C++ and basic coding in the game engine, I also was introduced to new aspects like sprite animations, which is basically the perform tool for creating the top down like 2D game that we are looking for, this will be shown below. I also have shown below my certificate for completing the course, and yes, I actually did stay up till 4 am to finish this pathway. Summary-We have made a huge shift for the class as a whole
