This month I used the same techniques as last month for my photo manipulation but I really only focused on my drawing skills. I did this by taking a drawing class down in Georgia, I drew the Atlanta falcon and a Buddhist statue. To do this I used a different array of Pencils that could help bring contrast between the lightly shaded areas and the darker ones . I started the falcon by setting the right proportions and standpoints on the paper. Next I carefully and lightly gave myself the outline of the focal points like, the face, left wing, right wing, and feet. This is important because before I took this class my drawings never had set and even proportions, like how the head on my falcon isn't too big compared to the lower body and legs/talons. I also leaned on how to properly focus on completing a drawing to bring it all together, I do this my slowly progressing over the whole body/ focusing on one task throughout the body. This helps because it establishes fluid progression throughout the drawing. I realized this was an issue because when I used to do my drawings off looks and perspective, I would just look on one side of a drawing and completely finish it, this would cause me to draw to look as if it were in sections rather than one complete drawing.Overall the class helped me understand proper proportions and basic techniques to create a realistic image that comes together well and has depth. Summary- I took a drawing class this month
- I learned new drawing techniques and principles
