There are a few things I have learned while I've been working in unity and programing in general. The first and most obvious thing is that I learned the basics of editing scripts and code to get the computer to do as I want. I also learned about the different interfaces and programs that Unity provides. An example is the immense amount of tutorials and help they provide to help the users (like me) on the app. Another aspect that I want to talk about is how my skills have improved. For a while I couldn't understand what I was looking and but now I am able to remember the basics of what goes where in the code and what generally needs to be written. There were an array of problems that I faced when dealing with Unity. The main problem I was dealing with was when I would finish the game and try to publish it. The problem was that the Webgl player would never show up like it properly should and I had to go through the packets and apply my own package that enables WebGl to actually run to finish publishing. Another prominent problem I had was how/where I see the location of my unity files on my computer. I overcame this by simply taking the time to organize where and how my files are saved on my computer. Summary-I have leaned the basics about coding
-There is much more to learn but I feel I'm in a good place

I am nearing the end of my Junior year and I want to recap what has happened, and what I've essentially felt/learned through the year. First, I want to start off what I basically learned through the year. I've learned all about the process of creating a game and what it takes for me to even think about making one. One thing I found interesting is the amount of work that it takes to produce a game, and also how different it is to actually create the game and play it. Overall, I have learned a lot and this a been a fun packed year. Next I want to briefly talk about how I felt during this year. I feel as if this year was good other than the fact I was assigned an extremely large amount of work which hindered my motivation, but I've mad it this far and I'm glad I can keep going. Summary-I'm nearing the end of my junior year
-I've learned a lot I will be going to take the next step in my school career by attending Mr. Bourgeois class of technology and taking his 10th grade class course called Digital Design & Animation II. In this class I am particularly happy about the fact that I get to dive deeper into the realm of 3d modeling because of not necessarily how easy but how simple and enjoyable it was to complete my model or animate it. The reason It was my favorite subject matter of last year is because of how the instructions allowed you to use your own creativity, but also set a structure of what directly needs to be done without the confusion of different tools that needed further explanation. The most favorite part of 3d modeling would be constructing real world objects like vases, ships, heads, or adding textures to different objects and shapes that I created using the different tools. The moon texture assignment I completed was also a key point in the modeling because of how interesting and detailed the programs place or allow you to place the material onto the selected shape to give a look that you like. I am also excited about either the different techniques we will use next year to complete different projects using the same software *preferably only 3d modeling*, or being reintroduced to new software or applications like last year during DDA 1 where we went through most if not all animation applications and their basics of use. In conclusion, I hope to have the same experience of work and guidance that I ha during the end of the year of DDA 1 and want to get familiar with most modeling software. Summary-My DDA 1 class has been fun and interesting
-I hope to have more work and projects dealing with modeling My summer so far has consisted of one vacation and down time to relax. During my downtime I have been taking images of different items around my house and using it to develop different images using https://pixlr.com/editor/, which is an adaptation of Photoshop and allows you to do the basics of manipulating pixels in a bitmap format. This website also has many different tools to enhance photos almost like a filter on Instagram and snap chat which allowed for many different alterations to a single photo but this website also has a majority of the different Photoshop tools and format to add different layers. Images like the ones below is an example of different effects and filters that have changed this green and yellow spiked all into a purple bacteria that is raring to devour the next town over. This monster from Goosebumps was created using color inversion, fins edged, motion blur, saturation adjustment, and sharpen. This effect in sequence also allows the image to have a visual illusion of microscopic bacteria in my opinion. I feel this way because of the symmetrical water reflection like swirls that look like diamonds that are located in the middle vertically and horizontally. The main effect that is taking part in this left image is the inversion of color which allows the gross green to be bright florescent pink and purple. In conclusion, this website allowed me to add different filters and effects to display different illusions and helped me get introduced to many different filters that are shared among the photo edit community and allowed me to make creative design that I use in my room like posters and pastel artwork. Summary-There are many different applications for photo editing -There are lots of filters to use References“Online Photo Editor: Pixlr Editor.” Online Photo Editor | Pixlr Editor, pixlr.com/editor/.
Coming into my final week of work for digital media me and my classmates have been entering crunch mode trying to complete as many assignments as possible and with high quality. I have fortunately been able to complete all my class assignments that deal with 3ds max like my Moon and Earth textures and basic tutorials and instructions for basic assignment to introduce us to more tools. The final assignment I and currently working on is an animation of my previous 3d models were I took two tanks and two spaceships and placed them in a garden scene. I have modified this peaceful scene to seem like it's in outer space as they shoot each other and alerts another mother ship to come and finish off the tanks and the destruction of the magic garden that is floating in space. The other assignments that contribute to everybody's crunch time in class is the many tests, quizzes, and unit reviews that have the ability to boost your grade but are immersive and contain lots of information. The final task I have to keep up is this portfolio, which has been easy to manage as long as I contribute a small or large amount of work to the portfolio every now and then so I don't get stressed with completing the task needed to get a good grade. In conclusion the work in digital media is simple and easy to manage as long as you prepare a plan to understand when and how you are going to do a certain task this will help you complete the large amount of work in minimal time. Summary-All of my assignments have been completed
-The assignments I have created later helped the final piece As I end the final day of the third quarter I want to reflect on what I have experienced in this class, the easiest part of this year is when we used some of the tools and techniques that I have learned in other classes. Some of the tools I was already familiar with were, the entirety of Photoshop, the pen line tool, and some motion/clip animation using premiere pro. The hardest assignments and projects were actually keeping up with this portfolio and blog post. As for the one assignment in Adobe Animate it by far took me the longest to complete and understand because of the technicality and multiple steps just to create a one second gig. The thing I wish I could have known and prepared for before I came to this class are time management and preparation before I even step foot/start working on my assignment. Even though this class is enjoyable the one problem I have with this class is the same for everyone, if you don't have a source of technology at your access you will most likely not have enough time to finish the overload of assignments. This is ad isn't a problem for me most of the time because of tutoring and my work ethic. The positive note, I have to add is that this class will expose you to many different careers and techniques that could be very useful when applying for a job. In conclusion, this class is very fun and helps many different kids including me. Summary-DDA class has a wide array of professions
-DDA could have a major impact on you work ethic At DDA I have been working with an application named Premiere Pro, this application is used to edit video or audio clips and make them into many different types of video edits. Some examples are taking a group of photos and trying to display an emotion or feeling, you can also edit different video clips to make them into one composition like a YouTube compilation/video montage. The premiere Pro also is very easy to manage and organize your different videos as you editing them. This application also has different effects and transitions for both the audio and visual portions of the animation. The down side to Premiere is time framing and smoothness of the different clips that I am working with, the application has a feature where you can cut and place a specific piece of that clip in the timeline and this allows you to basically just place transitions and effects on the audio and video aspects of the project. The one thing I would fix about the application is when I first place the video clips in the work space because after I edit the clip to fit the time frame the new clip acts as duplication's and this causes confusion when I need to locate the clips to place them on the timeline. In conclusion, this application is very fun to use and I really enjoyed using this to make video clips and different compositions, even though the assignments given were very simple this by far is my favorite application. Summary-Premiere Pro is a simple application based on video
-Premiere Pro has different uses for editing In my class we have only used adobe animate one time and it has easy concepts, but if difficult to create an animation in my opinion. The reason this application is more difficult is because it is time consuming. This means it takes more energy in fixing how the computer interprets the interpolations, which are the movements of the object between the key frames of the animation. This was a problem because there were an additional and required amount of steps to make the animation seem smooth or realistic even when the movement is simple. Another reason adobe animate isn't my ideal application is because of my non familiarity with the format of creating an animation, the inclusion of symbols, shape hints and tweens etc. led to complications with the certain layers. My final negative point of this application is the timing and indication of movement in each layer, for example the eyes and eyebrows need their own layer with their own shape size and detail to create the animation. The positive effects of this confusion and abundant amount of key shortcuts and controls is the fact that most all the layers have the same structure , this is really helpful until one setback occurs or a certain part can't be conveyed correctly in the animation, like has the body of a monster leans back and then the bottom of the monster become contorted and wonky, this is were the numerous shortcuts and corrections come into play, to fix the action the computer tried to display. In conclusion, with more practice with setbacks that occur often, and the exposure to different scenarios would help me understand and enjoy using this application. Summary-Adobe Animate would be very useful for 2d graphics
-The concept of this application is interseting In the third quarter of my digital media class me and my class have been working on different types of animation using different digital resources. I have learned what it takes to make an animation and the variety of forms that can be used that fall into the categories of animation. The first digital animation I created is when the class made a ten second clip of a ball bouncing across the screen. This sounds easy, but was so far the most difficult and time consuming animation because every frame had to be "hand" drawn, this means that I had to move the ball 120 different times in addition to recording and taking a screenshot each image, this animation even though done on a computer is known as traditional animation. The second animation I created was a motion graphic which was very easy and required for me to describe myself in a twenty second clip. The reason this animation was easy is because instead of creating all frames you give the computer key frames, these are moments in your animation that show or display a major change. When you give the computer the key frames it auto generates the frames between the key frames. The current animation I am working on includes making a 2D monster GIF that shows him eating a green fireball out of pure rage. This animation requires a different application to create the GIF, this assignment is also time consuming and confusing if you are not familiar with the types of tools given. In conclusion the assignments and projects centered around animation have been interesting and fun, but there have been always more cool things to do. Summary-Animation can be difficult and time consuming
-Animation can be represented in many ways Using Information from the website Gamasutra.com I have learned some information on what idle animations are. Idle animations are movements or actions your character does when you become idle/don't move. These Animation is technically pointless because it is time consuming and back then hard to create or convey with the given technology. But developers do it as a type of recognition and devotion to the game. My favorite idle animation is the when Mario drops to the floor and just falls asleep after no player interaction. The part that appeals to me is the sort of realization that humans developed the game even if it's all code engraved and thought about how someone would react if they are left alone or bored with nothing to do and that is interesting. This type of thinking would most likely intrigue all that are new to the concept because the basic person would say "how is the game doing this if I'm not doing anything?" and could cause better engagement and connection with the character. The many animations also resemble some sort of action the main character would be known to do, or could be expected to do like Street Fighter, the animations resemble a fighters stance and movements they would do in a fight or they would preform a natural reaction someone would do in the situation and story. One example is when Sonic a character based on speed and movement taps his foot and stares at you out of impatience and frustration until you pick up the controller or joystick. In conclusion small additions to games could be heavy influential and interesting if it relates to you as a person or a gamer. Summary-Idle animations are small but interesting details in games -The animation revolves around the characters personality Bibliography-Couture, Joel. “What Makes a Great Idle Animation?
