Released in October 2010 and having the PC, Android, and IOS, as select platforms of play, 8 Ball Pool established itself as a virtual version of basic pool and pool alternatives. 8 Ball pool started its following as the top grossing game on Miniclip's website because of its basic interaction and addiction. The basic steps and player skill, balance led the game to become very popular and not loosing its popularity or having the need to produce another version of the game. This game also had many achievements like obtaining over one hundred million downloads on the Google Play Store and other than the fact that this the number one game on Miniclip's website the game achieved an average of 18 million players monthly only after two years after launch. As stated the game is still undergoing updates and new editions to the game and still having a large following. The game modes that are still in the game and added as of version 4.1.0 are, the basic 1 on 1 game mode, the tournaments any player with enough coins can enter, the no guideline mode, the addition of 9 ball a form of pool that had set rules and basics, and the mini games that allow the user to obtain coins and natural cosmetics for this type of game. In Digital Design and Animation 1 my class has been working with bitmap images, prominently in Photoshop. But now we have just entered Adobe Illustrator which works with vector images, these are images that are composed of mathematical equations. With this application the principles and forms of the tools are essentially shortcuts of Photoshop's basic functions like not having to press shift while adjusting a images size and proportionality, or having to press Alt+Ctrl+Z to go back farther than on step. Although I have only learned a handful of tools to create a product Adobe Illustrator seems to have a higher efficiency and ease. Some other examples are the duplication process and how this combines with different features for an easy experience, there are no true individual layers and they all collide on one canvas, also the simple duplication helps make task faster and less jumbled because of the flexibility of the application. On the other hand Photoshop in my opinion dealt with photo manipulation and photo realism, I think this because of the bitmap format and the simple reason Photoshop has just been used as a photo collage to compose a product and editor to either fix or change a selective picture. Adobe Illustrator is the image creator and also shape manipulation, but digresses away from the realistic aspect because of its smoothness which makes the image look cartoonish or childish. In conclusion The huge shift from Photoshop to Illustrator has been made easy due to initial technique exposure and so far simple tools in Illustrator. Summary-Adobe Illustrator has simple techniques.
-Photoshop helped move into illustrator but was complicated. I am configuring bitmap images using Photoshop, I used many tools and techniques on different projects and assignments. My favorite bitmap editing technique is the Colorizing using blend modes, in this assignment I had to take a gray-scale image and colorize it to make it appear realistic or make it seem as it was taken with color. This technique also is useful for making old/classic images or films to place a perspective of how things looked during different time frames. When historians study ancient culture they look at what they ate, hunted, and did as activities because it leads to more insight of the culture and this type of bitmap editing helps give feed back to the public to the, place and timeline of the image given the color. In my image the color of the mans skin is not very realistic but by looking at his clothes you can assume he could have been a farmer and timeline based around the early 20th century. The way I did this assignment was by using the quick select tool to select a part/piece of the image like the hat, shirt, or face. Then I would (delete+alt) to place a color from the color pallet that I selected then I would select the layer and change the settings from normal to overlay, overlay causes the image to be seen through the color and I would adjust its opacity for the best look. In conclusion I think Colorizing using blend modes is the best version of bitmap editing and most important tool. Summary-Colorizing using blend-modes is the most helpful tool for images in grey scale
-This can be used in films |
