Over the quarter our assignments for drawing have gotten more detailed and essentially harder. I want to briefly talk about what is easy, hard, and what I've learned. First of the things that I think are the easiest is essentially blending my image together to make it realistic and clear, so that the person looking at it understands what is going on. I would also say putting things is the right location on my image is also easy. Next the things that I think are hard are, the fact of putting the small details together to essentially build the full scene. For example if I were to draw a modern city this clarity and realism depends of how my detailed work on the lights, streets, and windows come together. This being said I have also learned more about adding different details in my image to get a desired look that best fits how I draw and convey my skills. Overall the pace is beginning to start to speed up and the assignments are only going to get harder and harder. Summary- Drawings are getting harder to do

A few days ago we were presented with making a simple prototype for the game that we have been contemplating through the past few weeks. Like shown on my selected works page it shows what the game comes out to look like and how it's essential will be if I were to fully go through with finishing it. The prototype I made run through a brief explanation as to what the character needs to do and what he does in the level in order to full progress too the next levels. This is all helpful due to it giving me valuable information as to what is important in my game and also help me fix the problems that I have with the game. One problem is that the player may not fully understand either the need for parts to progress to the next level or they will understand and just find the game too easy and get bored due to the lack of challenge and flow. My prototype did do a few things right, one of which is that the actual looks and levels design of my game can be very unique and well put together without many problems due to the parameters that I set for my game. This helps me create a good looking and put together game even though it didn't take a lot of time and recourses to crate. Overall, I feel I prototype did well in accomplishing what I needed answered and also showing what things I did well on and don't need much focus towards. -Every aspect of my prototype taught me something A am nearing the end of the first quarter an I want to reflect on what I have done and how I think I have made in the first weeks of online school. First, I want to go over the things I think I did well on. I would say my management of work was really well through this quarter and also how I was able to get things in and completed, I also believe my quiz and assignment grade have been tremendously put together and well put together showing the detail and time I either spent studying or making an image for an assignment. I had my first drawing in a while and it felt good receiving an 100 %. Now for the things I think I need to improve on, I would say my reading management because I have been not necessarily behind on reading it instead not retaining the information on the things that I just read which essential is like not reading. I can improve on this by taking my time and actually focusing on what I am reading. The next big thing that I need to fix is my matching activities because it is sometimes hard to get the correct answer when it comes to finding the answer. This can easily be fixed by me just reading more in-depth into the article. Overall, I think I have set myself up well for The up and coming quarter 2 and what it has to bring. -I have managed my time well I have created this portfolio and have learned along the way this is just another boost or one up in my career because it helps my experience dealing with a website and keeping my dates in order. Some reasons why I should be more professional than I already am is because it helps employers look at my skill and work ethic, if I have a very bland portfolio that looks like it could have been made in 30 min then that could have a negative connotation. I have considered making my portfolio more live and interesting, so the onlooker does not get bored looking at black on white text. I also want to make the design minimalist because the demand for fast pace advertisement of ones self or company. This will help onlookers to understand my skills, achievements, and overall capabilities without having to read below the line or be confused as to what exactly I am capable of. I also have been searching online as to why I need a portfolio in the first place and I have learned that it helps appeal to people who need to see first hand what you're capable of as of skill, achievement etc. This also helps boost your resume or audience in any field because if the selected audience is visual learners then they will understand your work. Overall the need for portfolios is essential for many reasons and helps people/your audience what is to be expected from you and or your team members. This month I have been working with the same website/ material which is Pixlr.com and I have been keeping up with different gaming updates and different software updated and gaming systems that have been introduced to the gaming community like the Origin Big O, which is a gaming juggernaut because of its capability of connecting a Nintendo switch and contains the components of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox one and they both contain coolant systems with the consoles primary colors. The different artwork that I have been dealing with this month still consists of the same website where I simply manipulated the images and learned and understood in detail what I could do to manipulate images. The two images below are the before and after effects of my manipulation. The image on the right is the before image and is simple a 3d printed piece of plastic that I found in my garage, the left image is edited and was created using three different filters one of which is the kaleidoscope filter which gives the illusion of having insect eyes, this placed on top a water swirl and emboss effect to give this image its illusion. During making this image I have learned how to create a visual representation of different animals or human point of view perspective of the world because what we see things can be different between different people of things, one example is how I think of this piece as plastic trash but a honey bee looks at this as a potential home. My summer so far has consisted of one vacation and down time to relax. During my downtime I have been taking images of different items around my house and using it to develop different images using https://pixlr.com/editor/, which is an adaptation of Photoshop and allows you to do the basics of manipulating pixels in a bitmap format. This website also has many different tools to enhance photos almost like a filter on Instagram and snap chat which allowed for many different alterations to a single photo but this website also has a majority of the different Photoshop tools and format to add different layers. Images like the ones below is an example of different effects and filters that have changed this green and yellow spiked all into a purple bacteria that is raring to devour the next town over. This monster from Goosebumps was created using color inversion, fins edged, motion blur, saturation adjustment, and sharpen. This effect in sequence also allows the image to have a visual illusion of microscopic bacteria in my opinion. I feel this way because of the symmetrical water reflection like swirls that look like diamonds that are located in the middle vertically and horizontally. The main effect that is taking part in this left image is the inversion of color which allows the gross green to be bright florescent pink and purple. In conclusion, this website allowed me to add different filters and effects to display different illusions and helped me get introduced to many different filters that are shared among the photo edit community and allowed me to make creative design that I use in my room like posters and pastel artwork. In my class we have only used adobe animate one time and it has easy concepts, but if difficult to create an animation in my opinion. The reason this application is more difficult is because it is time consuming. This means it takes more energy in fixing how the computer interprets the interpolations, which are the movements of the object between the key frames of the animation. This was a problem because there were an additional and required amount of steps to make the animation seem smooth or realistic even when the movement is simple. Another reason adobe animate isn't my ideal application is because of my non familiarity with the format of creating an animation, the inclusion of symbols, shape hints and tweens etc. led to complications with the certain layers. My final negative point of this application is the timing and indication of movement in each layer, for example the eyes and eyebrows need their own layer with their own shape size and detail to create the animation. The positive effects of this confusion and abundant amount of key shortcuts and controls is the fact that most all the layers have the same structure , this is really helpful until one setback occurs or a certain part can't be conveyed correctly in the animation, like has the body of a monster leans back and then the bottom of the monster become contorted and wonky, this is were the numerous shortcuts and corrections come into play, to fix the action the computer tried to display. In conclusion, with more practice with setbacks that occur often, and the exposure to different scenarios would help me understand and enjoy using this application. -The concept of this application is interseting In Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop there is a tool called the pen line tool and this tool could have multiple uses depending on the intention associated with it like making a fancy word text, detailed drawing of your choice, outline of an image, or used to create a simple shape. I have worked a lot with the pen tool and have made different images using the pen tool and the way it is used is by essentially drawing a line and using the mouse and the ALT key to edit the line. Some things you can do with that line is fill in the inner part of the line, for instance, if there was a circle it would fill Ink and color would show, also the stroke or extra outer line around the fill or inner color. One of the images I have made is the one below the whole image is made using the pen tool except for the fade spot between my skin and hair to the top right. The strokes are the lines that have a different color or have a simple black line and the parts of the image that have an appearance of shadowing or darkness under the line is the full, all the colors in my image other than the select lines is also considered fill because I used a defined outline to create the head and my jacket. This is just one of many designs that could be made using the pen line tool and it could be very helpful to a person trying to recreate an image or design. Summary-The pen line tool has two different functions -It could be used for many things As I start to get used to and comfortable with Adobe Illustrator I think back to things this program could be used for like games or artwork made by company, and I thought directly about this game that I used to play called the eye of it made by gunshot, where the whole objective was to get back to the letter (T) after it left the (i) in the beginning of the game for an unknown reason. Yet the game is connected with illustrator and animation because of the simplistic 2D design and shapes that could have potentially been made in Adobe Illustrator using obviously programming and a variety of shapes to create the boundaries, characters, and text shown in the game. In addition to this the game itself is like most level by level games except instead of running and jumping the (i) stretches in length while in uppercase mode to be able to grab a hold to platforms to help maneuver the (i) along the level. Like most games, more obstacles accumulated and more steps are needed to be completed by the player to eventually get to the end goal were you meet back up with (T) and he is now uppercase and (i) is lowercase and (T) explains he quotes "ate too much" and they are now conjoined as (iT). In conclusion Illustrator could be used for a lot of different things other than a (.Png) of a pizza and could be used for a variety of things. Summary-The i of it is a example of potential work from Adobe Illustrator
-The game is very interesting and different In DDA I have gone in depth with Adobe Illustrator and using multiple tools to create different artworks and images. This application has an array of tools but the most powerful and most useful tool so far is the shape builder tool because it's a very easy way to make different shapes for different uses. For example this tool can take three different circles and create an array of objects like a pizza sausage, Paint brush, a moon crest and lots more things. I enjoyed using shapes to make emphasize the appearance shadows behind the images, The forming and shifting of different shapes to make an object was fun and interesting. But the things that I struggled with are the moving of an-object within the bounds of the artwork, also I had a hard time dealing with the alignment of the shape, and proportions/Symmetry of the shapes across from each other or near each other, for example how even and centered the image below is displayed and presented with the use of shadows. This Image is called Creative Digital Badges, it is supposed to be a representation of the different levels of selection based tools in Photoshop, the image has a appearance of shadows behind each subject image to display a type of light source, the image also has different number of stars with a different number of star tips for each level and tier. In conclusion Illustrator is a very interesting and cool application that I enjoy using in class, but without practice and proper use of technique it will be hard to master and learn.
