In my digital media class I have use a few applications to create and display motion. The three applications I have used are Adobe After Effects, Animate, and Adobe Premiere these three applications generally were fun and interesting to use but there are some flaws in some of them. Adobe After Effects was the second easiest because of its simplicity and structure, the one flaw with this application is setting each layer to a certain time in your time frame. This created hardships when trying to time the correctly time when your graphics come into and out of frame. Adobe Animate was the worst application in my opinion because it is very confusing and has very complicated sequences to create simple movements in an animation, there are also a lot of layers that need to be created for your character/animation. The final and my favorite application is Adobe Premiere this application is simple and easy to use because the tools and format resemble After Effects and has simple actions. The frame timing and placement is very easy to manage and change, the only flaw is that the settings for the time are not set second by second but set to the second is marked at 1.4, 2.4, 3.4, etc. This problem can be easily fixed by placing your timeline marker to your set time that you desire. In conclusion, these three animation applications were and are still very interesting and entreating because of their ability to produce animations. Summary-All of the applications create animations
-Adobe After Effects is similar to Adobe Premiere

In my class we have only used adobe animate one time and it has easy concepts, but if difficult to create an animation in my opinion. The reason this application is more difficult is because it is time consuming. This means it takes more energy in fixing how the computer interprets the interpolations, which are the movements of the object between the key frames of the animation. This was a problem because there were an additional and required amount of steps to make the animation seem smooth or realistic even when the movement is simple. Another reason adobe animate isn't my ideal application is because of my non familiarity with the format of creating an animation, the inclusion of symbols, shape hints and tweens etc. led to complications with the certain layers. My final negative point of this application is the timing and indication of movement in each layer, for example the eyes and eyebrows need their own layer with their own shape size and detail to create the animation. The positive effects of this confusion and abundant amount of key shortcuts and controls is the fact that most all the layers have the same structure , this is really helpful until one setback occurs or a certain part can't be conveyed correctly in the animation, like has the body of a monster leans back and then the bottom of the monster become contorted and wonky, this is were the numerous shortcuts and corrections come into play, to fix the action the computer tried to display. In conclusion, with more practice with setbacks that occur often, and the exposure to different scenarios would help me understand and enjoy using this application. Summary-Adobe Animate would be very useful for 2d graphics
-The concept of this application is interseting In the third quarter of my digital media class me and my class have been working on different types of animation using different digital resources. I have learned what it takes to make an animation and the variety of forms that can be used that fall into the categories of animation. The first digital animation I created is when the class made a ten second clip of a ball bouncing across the screen. This sounds easy, but was so far the most difficult and time consuming animation because every frame had to be "hand" drawn, this means that I had to move the ball 120 different times in addition to recording and taking a screenshot each image, this animation even though done on a computer is known as traditional animation. The second animation I created was a motion graphic which was very easy and required for me to describe myself in a twenty second clip. The reason this animation was easy is because instead of creating all frames you give the computer key frames, these are moments in your animation that show or display a major change. When you give the computer the key frames it auto generates the frames between the key frames. The current animation I am working on includes making a 2D monster GIF that shows him eating a green fireball out of pure rage. This animation requires a different application to create the GIF, this assignment is also time consuming and confusing if you are not familiar with the types of tools given. In conclusion the assignments and projects centered around animation have been interesting and fun, but there have been always more cool things to do. Summary-Animation can be difficult and time consuming
-Animation can be represented in many ways Using Information from the website Gamasutra.com I have learned some information on what idle animations are. Idle animations are movements or actions your character does when you become idle/don't move. These Animation is technically pointless because it is time consuming and back then hard to create or convey with the given technology. But developers do it as a type of recognition and devotion to the game. My favorite idle animation is the when Mario drops to the floor and just falls asleep after no player interaction. The part that appeals to me is the sort of realization that humans developed the game even if it's all code engraved and thought about how someone would react if they are left alone or bored with nothing to do and that is interesting. This type of thinking would most likely intrigue all that are new to the concept because the basic person would say "how is the game doing this if I'm not doing anything?" and could cause better engagement and connection with the character. The many animations also resemble some sort of action the main character would be known to do, or could be expected to do like Street Fighter, the animations resemble a fighters stance and movements they would do in a fight or they would preform a natural reaction someone would do in the situation and story. One example is when Sonic a character based on speed and movement taps his foot and stares at you out of impatience and frustration until you pick up the controller or joystick. In conclusion small additions to games could be heavy influential and interesting if it relates to you as a person or a gamer. Summary-Idle animations are small but interesting details in games -The animation revolves around the characters personality Bibliography-Couture, Joel. “What Makes a Great Idle Animation?
