To start off the summer I chose to take a different approach for my summer assignment. I looked around for different types of edits and effects I could use to enhance my skills with photo manipulation and I found a cool method of cutting and pasting an image in itself to create an optical illusion. I don't know the name of the form of manipulation, but the way I did was by selecting a part of an image and flipping it vertically and using the erase tool and slowly blending the parts of my image together. Once my blending and transforming is complete I would manipulate different filters and hues to create contrast between the basic background image. I also adjusted the overall quality of the image to make sure my cats are clean and can efficiently create the illusion I was looking for. During this process I learned how to create different illusions and effectively detail a section of a piece in my image/composition, I feel like this is important because when you develop the illusion the effectiveness with start to pop right way rather than just a part of the image just been flipped. For my other image during this month I decided to work on different filters and hue/saturation changes. This is made possible because I left for Georgia for the summer and I was downtown in Durham and I captured some photos that I could later edit, and because I don't have a reliable computer for Photoshop or 3ds max I used Pixlr Editor which helped fill the gap and create the ideal effects I want. Summary- I learned a new technique and a form of illusion
- I have been using Pixlr editor to edit my images
